Our engineering department and workshops have recently completed two full batches of custom-made industrial filters designed to protect plate heat exchangers in the oil sector. These critical pieces of equipment were engineered for the refineries of ORLEN (Lithuania) and CEPSA (Spain), meeting the highest standards of quality, safety, and reliability.
A highly technical filter manufacturing
These filters, designed for hydrocarbon fluids, required advanced engineering work, including:
- extensive mechanical calculations,
- stringent constraints regarding pressure drop and filtration performance,
- and 100% non-destructive testing: dye penetrant testing, fluorescent magnetic particle inspection, radiography, and ultrasonic testing.
This comprehensive approach ensures maximum equipment integrity, essential for high-risk oil and gas environments.
Key Technical Features

Manufacturing: Total Quality and Reinforced Non-Destructive Testing
Pre-weld preparation
- 100% PT (dye penetrant testing)
Weld inspections
- 100% PT on shells, nozzles, and bevels
- 100% UT on shells, nozzles, and shell/nozzle weld seams
- 100% RT on butt welds (shell & nozzles)
- 100% WFMT on shells, nozzles, and weld interfaces
Custom-engineered filter cartridges
Each filter is equipped with a tailor-made cartridge designed to:
- optimize filtration performance,
- control pressure drop,
- incorporate magnetic inserts to capture ferromagnetic particles.
Robust & fully customized design
The filters feature:
- reinforced wall thicknesses,
- nozzle reinforcement pads calculated according to WRC107,
- engineering adapted to the demanding conditions of hydrocarbon processing.
A nameplate and a complete IOM manual in the destination country’s language (Lithuanian and Spanish) are provided, ensuring seamless commissioning and maintenance.
